Material
Typically, Smart ID Wristbands are designed to be made from durable yet skin-safe material, like silicone, woven polyester material, thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), and recycled plastic blends in order to be as comfortable and long-lasting as possible. The identification component can include a waterproof tag that may have a laser-etched or printed QR code; or an NFC/RFID chip sealed within the wristband that is moisture-, dust, and impact-resistant. For printing, and branding, ink production occurs using UV-resistant, environmentally-friendly inks so the branding won't lose its clarity quickly. For adjustable printing wristbands, closures may use plastic snaps, Velcro straps, or sliding beads to allow comfort and security. Each material is to withstand being worn daily, while also keeping the embedded technology protected and operationally safe.
